My name is Aron Asberry and I am an integration engineer for a really sharp outfit called Think Talent specializing in Oracle\Taleo configuration and consulting. I’ve been in the computer industry pushing 25 years now. I started off as hardware and network and have done installations then worked myself into system analysis and eventually where I am today. What I do is make large enterprise systems talk to each other. In my office we have a ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning (Lawson)), an ATS (Applicant Tracking System (Taleo)) and a CRM (Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce.com)) and they all need to talk to each other and exchange data. This is done (in this environment at least) using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and TCC (Taleo Connect Client) and Data Loader (Salesforce.com integration client) along with direct queries to the Oracle database that houses Lawson. I’ve created proprietary databases that house the information (translate may be a better word than house) that is base on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 which lives in the Amazon cloud services.
My skill sets include SQL queries, C# programming, .Net programming, server setup and maintenance (Both Windows and Linux), Web programming and design, Mail server setup (MS Exchange, Postfix and Sendmail), TCC configuration, Data Loader configuration, Network configuration and maintenance, desktop support and troubleshooting, and anything geeky in general:)
