Crashing drives
Nothing to do with cars but I’ve got a failure on one of the drives that this site is on. It’s got 4 x 3TB SAS Western Digital drives hooked up to a Dell H310 PERC PCI controller in a Dell T30 server. So the T30 doesn’t come with a H310, not sure you can…

Packratting
As much as I don’t want to admit it I’m a bit of a pack rat. It comes from wanting to have things close at hand I believe. That and not wanting to have to reacquire said part/tool/whatever. This does however become an issue when it comes to things like computer cables. I finally have…

Bad at blogging
So since the last time I posted, I’ve been to Arkansas and Missouri camping, finished a class, and have made great strides on the organizational changes at the house and am weathering a concerning work environment that we’re watching closely. And I guess I didn’t have anything to say about it. Ugh, I’m such a…

Watched – Cruella
I wasn’t thrilled that the movie was 2 hours and 14 minutes. My ADHD kicks in after 2 hours. But this movie was great! Well acted, super plot that twists wonderfully and a soundtrack that is amazing. Could definitely watch again! 4.5 out of 5 stars, well worth your time.

Watched – Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead
I like this movie, released in 2007 with Phillip Hoffman and Ethan Hawke. Drama about two sons who plot the robbery of their parents jewelry store. Everything goes horribly, horribly wrong. Extremely well acted with a twisting plot that keeps things interesting, Well worth seeing, I’m giving it a 4 out of 5.

Dental adventures
So I’m not sure how long it’s been but it’s been a long minute. I really believe that you have to pay the dental pain no matter what. I mean if you go like you’re supposed to, no big deal, cleanings are standard and not ‘deep’ and it’s relatively painless. You don’t go for years,…

Memorial Day 2021
I deeply appreciate the sacrifices that were given by those who fought for our freedoms. I regret that I was not able to be of service to my country in whatever capacity they would have needed me. I tried but the cyst on my wrist caused them to take a pass on me. Kind of…

Watched – Nobody
This is probably the feel good movie of the year. A light hearted John Wick crosses RED you will. Bob Odenkirk plays Hutch Mansell, retired three letter agency guy who, despite having left the job behind, still can’t leave the life. It’s a little slow to get going but picks up steam fairly quickly. Great…

Thoughts on Chantix
So Chantix has a list of side effects a mile long and comes with some serious warnings, and for good reason. I found myself obsessing about things that bothered me to the point where I would wake up and couldn’t get back to sleep because of mean thoughts running through my head. Not disturbing or…

New shelves for the garage.
So cleaning out the garage is a painfully slow process, to the point where you don’t know where to start, but I got the new shelves in for the garage and I can at least put things away to help clear the junk. Slowly but surely it’s taking shape.
