An amazing day

So Sundays are more miss than hit a good 99% of the time. But I have to admit, today was absolutely amazing. I can’t remember a nicer day. I slept in, and when we got going, we went over to Mom’s. She was lost, and then she was found. We helped with a little yard work and then came home. I pulled Sandy’s car out of the garage, started watching football and cleaning, and now, at the end of the day, I have a relatively clean garage. I also mowed and edged the front yard and used the new blower to make sure everything looked clean. I dug out the cow pie looking things from the front yard. And got the RV a little more organized and ready for some more work to be done to it. I feel the RV has new spirit now that it has a new AC. It just needs a little elbow grease and TLC and it’s ready for the Road Again. I think I’m going to travel after my contract ends at the end of September. Nothing too major, but it would be nice to get out into the woods again. I’ve been kind of tied down to the computer for the duration of this contract. Don’t get me wrong, I was paid very well to do the work but it’s time to relax and plot the next steps.

The real catalyst for the day being as nice as it was is the change in the weather. That first weekend that there’s no heat, that you don’t sweat as soon as you step outside is amazingly relaxing. It’s like the Blast Furnace of Summer has been turned off. This year it happened to coincide exactly with the start of the pro football season.
