(Doc ID <a href=\"https:\/\/support.oracle.com\/epmos\/faces\/SearchDocDisplay?_adf.ctrl-state=e0lxziied_4&amp;_afrLoop=384371775101473#FIX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2086226.1<\/a>)<br \/>\n<span id=\"kmPgTpl:sd_r1:0:dv_rDoc:ot71\" class=\"kmContent\">This article addresses the question of whether TCC needs to be upgraded when a zone is upgraded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TCC is backward compatible with earlier zone versions and earlier TCC script versions.\n<ul>\n<li>TCC version that is higher than the zone version is OK<\/li>\n<li>TCC version that is higher than the TCC script version is OK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Best practice is to use the latest version of TCC when it is released to take advantage of any known or unknown fixes.<\/li>\n<li>Each version of TCC comes with a\u00a0<em>readme.txt <\/em>that contains additional information about the release.\u00a0 To get this please <a href=\"https:\/\/support.oracle.com\/epmos\/faces\/DocumentDisplay?parent=DOCUMENT&amp;sourceId=2086226.1&amp;id=1517668.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download TCC<\/a> and then unzip\/unpack it.<\/li>\n<li>It is always recommended to use the latest available Product Integration Pack (PIP) when authoring new import\/export TCC scripts or <a href=\"https:\/\/support.oracle.com\/epmos\/faces\/DocumentDisplay?parent=DOCUMENT&amp;sourceId=2086226.1&amp;id=1907629.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">after a major zone upgrade<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0The PIP\/data model will have the latest data model features and changes.<\/li>\n<li>Compatibility information can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/cloud\/latest\/taleo\/OTCCU\/_appendix.htm#OTCCUid086NA0B00HS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>OTAC may require TCC upgrade for connectivity reason.\u00a0 For example, TCC 17 adds support for TLS 1.1 and 1.2 cryptographic protocols, used for HTTPS connections with OTAC 17 zones.\u00a0 When <a href=\"https:\/\/support.oracle.com\/epmos\/faces\/DocumentDisplay?parent=DOCUMENT&amp;sourceId=2086226.1&amp;id=1603034.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OTAC 15B becomes end-of-life<\/a> support for existing TLS 1.0 protocol will end.\u00a0 At that point TCC 15B and earlier will not be able to connect to the OTAC zone.\u00a0 For this reason, as announced elsewhere, clients who use TCC <strong>must upgrade to TCC 17 before 15B becomes end-of-life<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Testing is always recommended.\u00a0 TCC supports having multiple TCC installed on the same machine, same or different versions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the end of life statement for 15B<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HL_Object-Name HL_Object-Name_Post\">Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud 15B End of Life<br \/>\n<\/span>15B EOL is effective September 30, 2018. All customers must upgrade to release 17 prior to this date when 15B will be decommissioned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"HL_Object-Title HL_Object-Title_Post\"><span class=\"HL_Object-Name HL_Object-Name_Post\">Announcing Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud Transition to Transport Layer Security 1.1 and 1.2 Protocols<\/span><span id=\"HL_Sticky_Icon\" class=\"HL_Sticky_Icon\"><\/span><\/div>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">Announcing Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud Transition to Transport Layer Security 1.1 and 1.2 Protocols<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Transition to TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2. Decommission of TLS 1.0.<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud (OTAC\/TEE) is transitioning to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 protocols for enhanced communication encryption and subsequently decommission TLS 1.0. Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a cryptographic protocol that provides encryption and endpoint identity verification between Oracle servers and end users.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">OTAC\/TEE release 17.0 and above supports TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 protocols as well as the current TLS 1.0 protocol. The TLS 1.0 protocol will be decommissioned with 15B End of Life (EOL) which is set to Sept 30, 2018. The decommissioning of TLS 1.0 is a network operation not tied to an OTAC\/TEE release.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Impact to OCM Integration Partners.<\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">OCM integration partners are impacted by the transition. Partners are required to support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 no later than Sept 30, 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Impact to OTAC\/Taleo Customers<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li>It is imperative to upgrade to TEE release 17.x no later than Sept 30, 2018, to ensure service continuity.<\/li>\n<li>Upgrade to TEE 17.x is required before TCC can be upgraded.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">If you use Taleo Connect Client (TCC) for integrations, note the following important points:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Upgrade TCC to release 17.x to support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.<\/li>\n<li>Upgrade no later than Sept 30, 2018 to ensure service continuity and prevent failure of TCC jobs.<\/li>\n<li>Download TCC from <a href=\"https:\/\/edelivery.oracle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Oracle Software Delivery Cloud<\/a>. Search for \u201cTaleo Connect Client Application 17\u201d and select the applicable version along with the Linux or Microsoft Windows Platform.<\/li>\n<li>TCC 17.x is certified on TEE 17.x. The backward or forward compatibility of TCC with different annual releases is not certified (e.g. TCC 15.x with TEE 17.x is not supported).<\/li>\n<li>Upgrading TCC has no impacts on your TCC scripts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you use Taleo Connect Broker (TCB), no action is required on your part regarding TCB.<\/li>\n<li>If you use Taleo Social Sourcing (TSS), it will be upgraded to TSS 17.x by Sept 30, 2018 &#8211; no action required on your part.<\/li>\n<li>TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 have no browser impacts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0004;\">Your Action<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Please log a Service Request via <a href=\"https:\/\/support.oracle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">My Oracle Support<\/a> to schedule your OTAC\/TEE 17.x upgrade.\u00a0 Refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/mosemp.us.oracle.com\/epmos\/faces\/DocumentDisplay?id=1603034.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">MOS knowledge article 1603034.1<\/a> for release availability.\u00a0 Plan for your TCC upgrade following the OTAC\/TEE upgrade if you are a TCC user.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">When your OTAC\/TEE instance is upgraded, work with your OCM integration partner(s) to ensure that they enable their TEE integration end points to add communication over TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2 protocols. This must be completed before Sept 30, 2018 to ensure service continuity.
